【Abstract】PDJ is a type of artificially synthesized jasmonic acid derivative with high biological activity, belonging to a new group of plant hormones. PDJ has a structure similar to that of the natural plant growth regulator jasmonic acid (JA), which is commonly found in vascular plants.
PDJ is a type of artificially synthesized jasmonic acid derivative with high biological activity, belonging to a new group of plant hormones. PDJ has a structure similar to the naturally occurring plant growth regulator jasmonic acid (JA) commonly found in vascular plants, with the same functions and similar modes of action. Compared to JA and JA.Me, PDJ has better chemical stability, lower volatility, and a longer duration of physiological effects. At low concentrations, PDJ has a stronger promoting effect than JA and is considered a more practical jasmonic acid compound.
PDJ is a broad-spectrum growth regulator that has both promoting and inhibiting effects. The effects of seed soaking treatment with different concentrations of PDJ on seed germination and seedling growth vary. The appropriate concentration of PDJ can enhance the root vitality of seedlings and improve the cold resistance, drought resistance, and virus resistance of crops such as rice, corn, and wheat; it can increase the fruit clusters, single grain weight, and soluble solid content of grape varieties, and promote fruit surface coloring; it can be used to improve the color of red apples, making the apple's color more attractive by enhancing the accumulation of anthocyanins.
The safety of PDJ has been certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and does not pose a risk to human health. Currently, PDJ has been approved for use in apple production to promote the coloring of red apple varieties. Blush® and Blush®2X are plant growth regulator solutions applied to apples, with active ingredient PDJ contents of 5.25% and 10%, respectively, and EPA registration numbers 62097-29-82917 and 62097-46-82917, which can be used on various varieties, including Honeycrisp apples, Gala fruit, Fuji apples, Macintosh apples, and others.

New dispersants for multi-component dosage forms
The agrochemical market is developing towards water-based formulations with high content of active ingredients and multiple active ingredient combinations, thereby improving the efficacy of treatments. Different combinations of active ingredients that have the same efficacy but are based on different mechanisms are key to pest control and increasing yield, and are also a sustainable strategy.
Imidacloprid has a relatively high indoor toxicity to peanut root-knot nematodes.
Researchers from the College of Forestry at Henan University of Science and Technology used the immersion method to determine the toxicity of imidacloprid against second-stage larvae of root-knot nematodes, Pratylenchus brachyurus, Belonolaimus longicaudatus, pine wood nematodes, and rotten stem nematodes under different concentrations and times, and examined its effect on the egg hatching inhibition rate of root-knot nematodes.
The future prospects of biological pesticides are very promising.
Due to the rapid development of agriculture in recent years, the research and application technology of pesticides have not kept pace, leading to an increasing harm to the natural environment. The development of new safe, efficient, and green pesticides is urgent, and biological pesticides have come into people's view. The future development of biological pesticides is already an inevitable trend.
